Re-negotiate with your commercial energy supplier if your current repayment arrangement is unaffordable (sole name)

Use this letter to help you negotiate with your commercial electricity or gas supplier to agree payments you can afford. The payments you offer should cover your current energy bills and repayments on the energy debt you owe. Only use this letter if you have already got a payment plan in place to repay your energy debts but you need to change this because you cannot keep up with the payments.​ Contact us for advice before you use this letter.

You can choose to send a letter in your own name or in joint names. You may have a debt in joint names, or want to write to your creditors together because you have worked out a joint budget.

  • Fill in your contact details, account number and any extra information you want to include in the grey shaded areas.
  • Today’s date will be added automatically.
  • Sign each letter and enclose a copy of your budget if needed.

Letter in joint names
